At Curcio Trasporti, we are actively committed on reducing the environmental impact of our freight transport operations. We are aware of the crucial role we play in promoting a greener and more responsible future, and for this reason we dedicate significant resources to the implementation and adaptation of quality policies. Particular attention is paid to self-control, safety and environmental sustainability policies. Over the years, we have implemented a series of concrete initiatives, such as tire recycling, the use of a photovoltaic system and an eco-sustainable washing system, to ensure that our activities are in harmony with the environment.

More sustainable mode of transport
With a view to making our services increasingly sustainable, the multimodal transport system combines road, maritime and rail transport in a synergetic manner and allows for a reduction in CO2 emissions of over 80%.
We also collaborate with T3M, and only in 2022, we carried out 1,241 rail transports for a saving of 2029t of carbon dioxide.
Tire recycling
We are certified by Michelin Italia for the sustainable management of tires. The initiative is based on recycling and extending the life of tires. Last year, we managed to save a total of 131,86 ton of CO2, 51,01 ton of raw materials and 0,44 ton of CO2 saved per year per vehicle. To achieve this reduction in emissions and reduction in the use of raw materials, pressure checks, regrooving and retreading of tires have been implemented.
Photovoltaic system
Our commitment to sustainability also extends to the energy we use to power our car wash. We use a photovoltaic system which in 2023 produced 67228 kWh of electricity. Sustainable system, designed to be completely sustainable and with zero impact on the environment. This system allows us to convert solar energy into a clean and renewable source of power for our car wash.
Washing system
In our sustainability initiative, the car wash represents a key pillar in minimizing the environmental impact of our operations. Our washing system is self-powered and highly efficient: after washing the vehicles, the water undergoes a decantation process to separate the solid parts, purification and traditional filtering which include the use of activated carbon, filters, sand and minerals. The water resulting from washing is purified and recovered by over 60% and reused in the system, creating a virtuous cycle, significantly reducing our annual consumption. This attention to detail allows us to ensure environmentally friendly operations and actively contribute to the conservation of water resources, demonstrating our commitment to a sustainable future.
